RESEÑALa Ópera de Beijing – Esencia de la cultura china es un espectáculo compuesto por cinco actos, correspondiendo uno de ellos a la ópera La batalla de Mu Guiying en Hongzhou. La historia se sitúa en la dinastía Song, y en una batalla que comenzó cuando el reino Liao quiso invadir Hongzhou, donde vivía Yang Zong bao, esposo de Mu Guiying. Ella, que estaba embarazada, supo de la invasión y salió rápido a pedir ayuda, pero Zong bao fue arrogante acabaron siendo rodeados por los fieros soldados. Cuando las tropas de Liao atacaron, Mu Gui ying luchó contra el enemigo y salvar Hongzhou.
Hoy en día el público chino sigue depositando en este personaje femenino su estima y amor por los héroes Yang, y audiencias de todo el mundo quedan admiradas con la fuerza de Mu Gui ying en este drama bélico. Las otras cuatro piezas que componen este espectáculo interpretado por el Grupo de la Ópera de Beijing de Nanjing son Gai Rong lucha contra el padre; Hu Jiazhuang; Mu Guiying rompe el laberinto de la puerta del cielo; y Zhang Sijie roba la tabla celestial y desciende a la tierra.
El grupo se centra en la herencia cultural, entrenando nuevos talentos. En los últimos años, han acogido a gran cantidad de jóvenes talentos de la ópera de Pekín. Con el tiempo, actores jóvenes y adultos se han convertido en el núcleo de la compañía.
Su drama histórico Drunk awake record ganó tres premios de gran relevancia, incluyendo el Mejor Espectáculo del Cuarto Festival de Teatro Chino, mientras la obra River rouge ganó la Medalla de Oro en el Festival de Ópera de Pekín y otros 10 premios individuales. SYNOPSISIn the Chinese collective memory, the most famous female figure in the stories of victory and loyalty to the fatherland is Mu Guiying, a descendant of humble lineage and an expert in martial arts. The stories of the Yang family, set during the Song Dynasty, captivate the masses, giving rise to legends that became the basis for famous operatic works such as The battle of Mu Guiying in Hongzhou.
Beijing Opera – Essence of Chinese Culture, is a production in five acts, each of them from the opera The battle of Mu Gui Ying in Hongzhou. The story is set in the Song Dynasty, during a battle that began when the Liao kingdom sought to invade Hongzhou, the home of Yang Zong Bao, the husband of Mu Guiying, who is pregnant. Muy Guiying learns of the invasion and quickly goes for help, but owing to the arrogance of Zong Bao, she finds herself surrounded by the fierce enemy soldiers. When the Liao troops attack, Muy Guiying fights off the enemy and saves Hongzhou.
Today, the Chinese people continue to esteem this famous woman and invest in her the love it feels for the Yang heroes, and audiences around the world are struck with admiration for Mu Guiying’s strength in this wartime drama. The other four pieces in the production, performed by the Beijing Opera Group of Nanjing, are Gai Rong fights with his father; Hu Jiazhuang; Mu Gui Ying negotiates the maze of the Heavenly Gate; and Zhang Sijie steals the heavenly tablet and descends to earth.

The Beijing Opera Group of Nanjing was established in 1962. Its founders formed the Theater School of Jiangsu and the Traditional Chinese Opera Academy. The group has produced some of China’s great traditional operas, new historic operas, and modern opera pieces and has earned the praise of critics both in China and abroad. The company performs around the country throughout the year and has also traveled to Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Norway and Greece, bringing the best of Chinese culture to the world.
The group focuses on upholding its cultural legacy and training new talents, and in recent years has attracted several very talented young performers from the Peking Opera. Over the years, a select group of young and older actors has become the heart of the company.
Its historic drama Drunk awake record has won three prestigious awards to date, including Best Production at the Fourth Festival of Chinese Theatre, while its work River Rouge won the Gold Medal at the Peking Opera Festival, as well as 10 other individual awards. These works were created by the company and ran for long periods to great critical acclaim, with performances before an array of large audiences around the globe.
