A contemporary dance piece that delves into environmental problems and their influence on the modern man. This creation was inspired by the territorial disputes that have led to the displacement of people and the degradation of the country’s nature reserves. The work displays how the body in its original, animal state becomes an “individual” that destroys its own place of “belonging.” On the stage is a “fictitious reserve” that gradually loses its value. As the production unfolds the “resident-being” of a territorial space faces conflict, drawing an analogy with the present-day concern about the place of people in natural places.

The collective uses the Pascua-Lama and Chiloe Mall cases as points of reference, along with a dramatic text about a boy shut in for many years that begins to be domesticated, concrete occurrences translated into dance to construct a corporal performance and investigation that conveys the work’s message.

DIRECTORS AND PERFORMERS
